best baby books...

These are some of the best childrens books I've come across yet. They are great stories, they are meaningful and have morals, they are educational, and best of all they are fun to read. So I just had to list a couple, If or when you have kids, definitely buy these books. :)

wonderful life...

This is the story of Snutt. He is an Ift who travels the universe searching for amazing new things. On his travels he finds a wonderful planet with lots of cool and crazy creatures like euphoric florifors & sticky-footed flewimols. But he is so far from home that he gets lonely. Then he finds another explorer, a Waft. Then they discover all the wonderful things together. It is an awesome book that has gorgeous illustrations and is just a bit different to the traditional childrens books.

kick...

This is a 'Scanimation' book. It is so cool. There's a circle in the middle of each page and as you turn the page the picture in the circle moves like a weird little movie. I'm not quite sure how it works exactly but it is sure to keep kids amazed for ages. Cy isn't quite old enough to fully appreciate it yet, but he is still very impressed each time you turn to a new page.

the owl and the pussycat...

Such a classic. It's the same old rhyme with some lovely drawings. Cy loves how the words rhyme and when they repeat. And there's just so much in the illustrations to keep him amused, each page has it's own cool border and the pictures are just beautiful.

gymboree play & music books...

This is a great little set of books that are so simple but offer so much stimulation for little minds. Each book contains colors/ shapes etc in English and also in french, German, Italian & Spanish. I've been reading these to Cy and each time we read it I read a different language, and he's pretty amazed when we go back through the book and all of a sudden it's words have changed. He loves the basic and bright drawings too.

kisses for daddy...

This one is just adorable. Baby bear is grumbly and doesn't want to kiss his mum and dad goodnight and go to bed. While he's getting ready for bed his dad tries to get cuddly clingy koala kisses, snappy watery crocodile kisses, stripy growly tiger kisses, and baby bear won't have any of it. Just as daddy bear is turning out the light and shutting the door baby bear calls him back and gives him a big bear kiss. Awww. It's really cool because the illustrations are pretty and in each picture the animal (koala, crocodile, tiger etc) are hidden somewhere. Cy loves it, and giggles every time you try to give him kisses and again when baby bear says no.
