yet again...

Christmas has come and gone, and I have seen a lot of conversations on whether to tell your young children the truth about Santa. It makes me kind of sad to see so many people who are absolutely against "lying" to their kids about Santa, especially when a lot of the answers went along the lines of "Why should I work all year to pay for these toys MYSELF, and then tell them some other guy bought them for them?!". For starters I think that's just putting your own pride & selfishness before your child's fun and imagination. And to be honest I don't know one person who has grown up to be devastated by the fact that their parents "lied" to them and told them Santa was real...or who hates their parents because they pretended to be Santa when they were 5. It's all fun, games and imagination. I'm happy to say Santa is alive and well in our house.

Along with Christmas; my birthday, New years & Cyrus' birthday are now over too. All were very fun and busy. It was great to see family & friends again, and even though this time of year can be financially, emotionally & physically tiring...it's amazing. I look forward to it all year, and then you have that one day (or possibly up to a week if you're lucky) when everything is just relaxing & fun. And this year it was really special because Cy was old enough to really get into the Christmas spirit.

Now that all the excitement is over for another year, we can start to get into the old routine again...
